How To Draw A Crescent Moon
Step by Step Guide
The crescent moon is arguably one of the prettiest sights you'll ever see in the night sky. It makes the sky look even more beautiful and surrounds everything with serenity. If you want to draw a crescent moon, you need to bring in its charming look to it. To do that, you can do what I usually do while drawing a crescent moon, and take a step by step approach, gradually working out the details and the overall appeal.
To draw a crescent moon, you start with a full circle and then erase the parts you don't need. After that, you work out the details, and the craters on the moon. Then, to add the finishing touches, you use a dark pencil to sharpen the outline, and you're done.
Draw a circle
Use a compass if you need to draw the circle.
Add the crescent shape
Cut a crescent shape on the left side of the circle.
Erase a bit
Erase the opposite part of the crescent.
Add a few details
Draw small ovals on the top of the moon.
Keep going
You are doing great so far. Keep drawing.
Some more designs
Keep adding the small oval shapes.
A few more near the bottom
Draw the shapes a bit downwards now.
Almost there
Just a couple of more steps.
Final touches
Use a dark pencil to add the final touches to your drawing.
And color
The drawing is done. Time to color your moon.
